Fees
Cupdiction charges a small fee on each trade. There are no fees for depositing or holding positions.
Trading fee
The fee is deducted from your stake at the time of each trade.
The fee rate is quadratic — it’s higher when the market is close to 50/50 and lower when the market is at an extreme (near 0¢ or 100¢).
Formula:
fee_rate = 4% × p × (1 - p)
where p = current YES price / 100| YES price | Fee rate |
|---|---|
| 10¢ (or 90¢) | 0.36% |
| 25¢ (or 75¢) | 0.75% |
| 50¢ | 1.00% (maximum) |
| 5¢ (or 95¢) | 0.19% |
The maximum fee is 1% when YES = 50¢ (maximum uncertainty).
Fees are deducted from your stake before shares are calculated. If you stake $100 at 1% fee, $1 goes to fees and $99 buys shares.
Maker vs taker
Cupdiction uses an AMM (automated market maker), not an order book. All trades are taker trades — there is no maker/taker distinction.
| Action | Fee |
|---|---|
| Buy YES | Quadratic fee (0–1%) |
| Buy NO | Quadratic fee (0–1%) |

Withdrawal fee
A 1% fee is charged on withdrawals. This covers Solana transaction costs and protocol sustainability.
